Job Description:

Job Role: Site Officer

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Officer to join our Real Estate Company in Nigeria. Oversee construction projects and supervise the construction team.

Ultimately the Site Officer will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of on-site operations, interpreting building plans as well as demonstrating exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • 2-3 years proven experience in site management within the real estate or construction industry.
  • Working knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with various stakeholders.
  • Outstanding leadership skills.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Site Management: Oversee day-to-day operations at construction sites, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards. Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to maintain effective communication.
  2. Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control measures to guarantee that construction activities meet company standards and regulatory requirements. Conduct real – time inspections to identify and address potential issues promptly.
  3. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of on-site activities, including daily reports, progress updates, and any incidents.
  4. Safety Compliance: Monitor and enforce safety protocols to foster a secure working environment. Conduct safety meetings and training sessions to promote a culture of safety awareness.
  5. Cost Management: Manage petty cash and assist in monitoring project budgets and resource allocation to optimize efficiency and minimize expenses.
  6. Evaluate the performance of site employees and institute disciplinary measures as needed.
  7. Recommend changes relating to construction operations or procedures on site to increase efficiency.

Education & Experience

Academic Qualification(s):

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience.

Years of Experience:

2-3 years proven experience in site management within the real estate or construction industry.
